Telemedicine Evaluation Fees

Our telemedicine evaluation fees to connect with a dermatologist are not covered by insurance, but most patients find our evaluation pricing to be competitive with most insurance co-pays. However, we are happy to provide proper documentation that can potentially be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Prescriptions

If you elect to have your prescription sent to an outside pharmacy while on a treatment such as Accutane, our team will work with your insurance company on any prior authorizations (PAs) needed in order to get your medication covered. Medications delivered through our Clear Health™ pharmacy network are cash-pay only. However, most patients find that even with insurance coverage, our cash-pay pricing is often more affordable. Our pharmacy partners are also well versed in time-sensitive medications such as Isotretinoin and are always well stocked with genuine medication.

All telemedicine evaluation fees are $59. Evaluation fees for the compounded topicals are $20. We also have prepaid plan options for the Standard and Micro-dose Protocol which allows you to pay for consultations and medications upfront*

*prescription products require a physician evaluation and must be approved before being dispensed.

If you chose our partner pharmacy as a way to receive your medication, you will be charged for the medication when it has been approved by the dermatologist. Please refer to our Returns & Refunds policy in regards to administrative errors or delays on prescription products from our partner pharmacies. If you’re having your prescription sent to your local pharmacy, they will charge you there.

You may cancel your subscription at any time up to 48 hours before your next scheduled shipment through the "Subscriptions" section of your patient portal. Cancellation requests received less than 48 hours before a scheduled shipment may not take effect until the following billing cycle or shipment.

Yes. Treatment changes may be available if deemed medically appropriate by your provider. Changes are subject to provider evaluation, medical eligibility, and applicable program requirements. Patients enrolled in the IsoClear™ Treatment Plan may also qualify for a no-cost transition to another treatment pathway under the IsoClear™ Treatment Assurance terms.

Telemedicine

Clear Health™ is a telemedicine platform that lets people get derm-grade acne prescriptions, Accutane, and top-notch skincare all from the comfort of their home. We're the partner on people's acne and skincare journeys so they not only get clear, but stay clear.

Our healthcare professionals are all experienced, board-certified dermatologists that have extensive experience with acne treatment. Unlike other platforms, only board-certified dermatologists practice on our platform, not NPs or PAs. You can see your doctor's medical license, education, and credentials in your portal anytime you want once they have been assigned to your case.

Since we work under an umbrella of providers, at times you might be evaluated by a different dermatologist to ensure that you are evaluated in a timely manner.

Yes! You have the option to select any local pharmacy within the Surescripts Network to pickup your medication (which covers 95% of the pharmacies in the country). If you choose the Clear Health™ Pharmacy Network, we'll ship you your medication for free.

Yes! We treat patients over the age of 13.

Safety is our top priority though, so if you are under 18, you will need to have your parent/guardian sign off with their information when you create a Clear Health™ account. If you request a call with your dermatologist (which you can request at any time in your secure messaging portal) the parent/guardian should be present as well.

Absolutely! Depending on the prescription you are being evaluated for, you'll communicate through various digital methods with your assigned dermatologists. For most evaluations, your doctor will communicate with you through the messaging portal on your dashboard. If need be, you can message your dermatologist through the portal at anytime and hop on a call if necessary.

We value your privacy and security and take stringent measures to ensure that your information is protected and we are fully HIPAA compliant. Please refer to our privacy policy for more details.

Our dermatologist and pharmacy network currently cover every U.S. state! We are not available in Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands.
